Can AI and automation work with the software your business already uses?

You may not need to replace your CRM, accounting software or other systems to use AI and automation. Learn what integration really means.

One of the biggest misconceptions about business automation is that you need to throw out everything you already use and start again.

Often, you do not.

A connected business can include accounting software, email, calendars, payment systems, websites, CRMs, industry software and automation tools. The question is whether those systems can exchange the right information reliably and whether connecting them actually improves the process.

What does “integration” mean?

In plain English, integration means getting systems to pass information or trigger actions between one another so a person does not have to do it manually.

For example, a new website enquiry might create a customer record, alert the right person and start a follow-up process. A booking might trigger a confirmation and reminder. A completed form might update the customer record rather than being copied into another system.

Can every system connect?

No. Some systems have excellent integration options. Others are limited, closed or expensive to connect. The depth of a connection can also vary. Being able to send a contact name is very different from synchronising complex operational data.

That is why Klyse should never promise that every CRM, ERP or industry platform can be connected in every way. We look at the specific systems and what you are trying to achieve first.

Keep, connect or replace

A useful way to review your technology is to ask three questions.

  • Keep it: Is the system working well and worth retaining?
  • Connect it: Can it sensibly exchange the information needed with the rest of the business?
  • Replace it: Is the system itself creating unnecessary cost, duplication or friction?

The goal is not to sell you more software. It is to make the business easier to run.

What Klyse connects

Depending on the solution and technical options available, Klyse can work with many common business categories including email, calendars, websites, payments, accounting, CRM, communication and other business tools. We assess compatibility before recommending a solution so you know what can realistically be connected.
